Johnny was raised in Mason City and graduated from MCHS and NIACC before attending Iowa State University. He is still an active Div I hockey official having met his amazing wife at an Iowa State Cyclones hockey game so many years ago. Ashley and Johnny returned to North Iowa in 2019 to be closer to family and put down roots. Currently, their “fur” child is a six-pound Pomeranian named Cricket. If you see Johnny driving around town in his well-loved box-truck "Old Yeller", give him a wave!
